Objective: Every patient could feel anxious when he waits in a radiological department to undergo diagnostic exams. The aim of our study is to evaluate the impact of the radiological exams on patient anxiety. Materials and methods: We evaluated 343 patients (mean age 54.83 years) who underwent different types of diagnostic exams in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at our Hospital from April 2013 to August 2014. We administered to patients the State and Trait Anxiety Inventory Test, which detected with high sensitivity both state anxiety and trait anxiety. Vardarbības pieredzes un uztvertā sociālā atbalsta saistība ar pozitīvu un negatīvu simptomu izteiktību šizofrēnijas pacientu vidū

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot saistības starp šizofrēnijas pozitīvajiem un negatīvajiem simptomiem, bērnībā piedzīvoto vardarbību un sociālo atbalstu, kā arī noteikt, cik lielā mērā vardarbība un sociālais atbalsts prognozē simptomu izteiktību. Izlasi veidoja 120 dalībnieki ar diagnozi šizofrēnija – 78 sievietes un 42 vīrieši vecumā no 21 līdz 79 gadiem (M=43,28; SD=12,93). Different personality traits respond differently to unfavourable life situations. Unemployment can have several negative social, economic, and domestic consequences. Many people use social media for a variety of reasons. The aim of this study is to examine the way different personality traits respond to Facebook in the period of unemployment.
